What is your cancellation policy?

If you wish to cancel a tour, you must send an email to sales@sipkentucky.com.

Tours canceled within 30 days of the tour date are not eligible for a refund, but may be eligible for partial credit with a gift card for future bookings.

Tours canceled 31+ days in advance of the tour date will receive a refund minus 25%.

*We try to accommodate everyone the best we can by rescheduling for a different date or holding a credit for a future visit. Please note: these courtesies are based on availability and manager discretion and additional fees may apply.

Can I Swap a distillery for another distillery or other activity?

Yes! Of course you can! All of our custom “crafted” private tours are fully customized and are able to be changed to meet your needs or desires. Our team has created “pre-mixed” private tours, but we can change them out for you!

How far in advanced should we book our tour?

Our tours are fully customized! Therefore, they take a bit of time to plan and guarantee you can have the full experience you are requesting. All distilleries have a set number of tickets they sell for tours and tastings. With our tours, we want to guarantee you get the best experience and see the distilleries you want to see! We have partnered with many distilleries to ensure this, but time is always of the essence, therefore we recommend at least a month in advance if possible!

Where are the pick-up and drop-off locations?

Private Bourbon Tours:  

We will come to you! Your guide will pick up your group from your hotel or Airbnb. We will contact you to discuss specific arrangements for your pickup location. 

 

Public Bourbon Tours: 

Please meet your driver at  One Riverfront Plaza on Fourth Street between Main Street and the Galt House Hotel West tower.

Do I need to make a reservation and if so, how far in advance should I make a reservation?

Yes, you do need a reservation. Reservations can be made directly on our website or by contacting our office at 502-698-3502 or sending an email to: sales@sipkentucky.com. Space is limited, so you should make your reservations as soon as possible. This is especially true during Kentucky Derby Week. 

Is there a limit to the group size you can accommodate?

We work with groups of every size. We have a fleet of 14 passenger vans and work with the area’s best transportation companies to secure affiliate vehicles for larger groups. No matter how large or small your group is, our team will help you find the perfect fit.

What time do we meet and what time will we get back?

Private Bourbon Tours:

These tours are all customized to your group. We can work around pickup and drop off times that best fit your schedule. Most full day private tours last between 8 and 9 hours. 

Public Bourbon Tours-

Your pick-up time and location (One Riverfront Plaza on Fourth Street between Main Street and the Galt House Hotel West tower) will be on your confirmation. Tour times may vary, but generally you will be picked up at 8am and return between 5pm and 6pm.

What should I bring/ wear?

*Comfortable walking shoes (closed toed shoes are required at some of the distilleries).

*You will be indoors and outdoors throughout the day, so dress to your comfort level.

*A phone or camera to take photos.

*Cash/credit card for tips and souvenirs.

Can I bring alcohol onto the tour bus?

You must be 21 years of age to consume alcohol. We provide a cooler on the tour bus and you are welcome to bring your own beverages in the vehicle, but we ask that throughout the day you enjoy responsibly. 

Can I smoke/ vape on the tour bus?

All SIP Tours’ vehicles are non-smoking/ non-vaping. Some distilleries have designated areas for smoking. 

Do you provide private transportation outside of tours?

Yes. While we do offer public and private tours, we can also provide private transportation on other days of your trip, to/ from the airport, or for your group during Derby Week. 

If you have already booked all your own distillery tours, but are just in need of private transportation, we are happy to help!
